Alan Guy is a New Zealand
born Clinical Psychologist, who completed his training at Massey University,
Palmerston North. He gained a Bachelor of Science in 1991 and a Master
of Science with Honours in 1994, Endorsed in Clinical Psychology. Following
an Internship at Taranaki Healthcare Limited in 1994/5, he was awarded
a Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology. As part of formal training
he worked at the Child & Adolescent Community Centre as well as
the Adult Mental Health Service attached to Taranaki Base Hospital.
Since 1996 Alan has worked
as a Clinical Psychologist for the Mental Health Service of the hospital,
where he has a special interest in eating disorders. For nearly
ten years he has provided private psychological services to the community
and agencies such as; NZ Police, Family and Youth Courts, ACC, CYF and
a range of other organisations and individuals. He continues to
offer supervision services to clinicians and other professionals.
As a father of two he
enjoys the Taranaki lifestyle with family and friends.
